The spiritual path has been a cornerstone of my life since the year 2000.
I have practiced within various different traditions but mostly within the Buddhist lineage, especially the Thai Forest tradition of Theravada Buddhism, attending numerous retreats and spending extended periods of time in various monasteries and retreat centres in Europe and Asia (India, Nepal, Thailand, Myanmar)
I reluctantly began leading meditation classes in 2012 at Sunyata Buddhist Centre (where I was manager at the time) with the encouragement of teacher Nick Scott, founder of Teach na Tuisceana meditation group in Galway. Over time my confidence grew and I began to appreciate the privilege and responsibility that comes with sharing the Dharma to those who are interested.
I have facilitated workshops, led and assisted on retreats of varying durations, from daylong and weekend retreats to 10 day retreats, mostly at Sunyata Buddhist Centre in Co.Clare, Ireland, and at Teach na Tuisceana, Galway, Ireland, both centres of the Thai Forest tradition of Theravada Buddhism.
I have also completed a Mindfulness Teacher Training Course with Christopher Titmuss & Nshorna Davis (2024).
My approach has been greatly influenced by my ongoing study and practice within various Buddhist traditions (Theravada & Mahayana), the Insight Meditation tradition, as well as the traditions of Advaita Vedanta and Christian mysticism.
I am indebted to the various teachers and influences that I have learnt from - they are too numerous to mention but special mention to the monastics of the Thai Forest tradition, and lay teachers Nick Scott, Rob Burbea, Christopher Titmuss.
My aspiration is to lend a helping hand to those who are navigating the spiritual path and the shift from a life of suffering to a life of peace and contentment.
